The Network for Healthy Populations is dedicated to training and preparing the next generation of health leaders to address the rising risk and burden of diabetes and chronic diseases. We are excited to announce that we are now accepting student applications for our Research and Training Programs.

About the NHP Summer 2023 Research and Training Program: The Network for Healthy Populations is dedicated to training and preparing the next generation of health leaders to address the rising risk and burden of diabetes and chronic diseases. The NHP is launching the Summer 2023 Research and Training Program for undergraduate, medical/health professional students, and graduate students currently registered at the University of Toronto. In doing so, we will support research projects that are in alignment with the NHP’s core, vision, objectives and core mission.

How to apply:

  • Application deadline is Monday March 6th 2023 by 5:00PM EST
  • Review the list of projects provided below and select the projects that best align with your interests and skills. You may apply for up to three projects. 
  • Complete the Google Form application 
  • Submit a tailored one-page letter of intent (maximum 500 words) for each project you wish to be considered for max. 3 projects. In the letter, ensure that you describe your research interests, skills, background, and relevant experiences as it pertains to the specific project.
  • Submit an unofficial copy of your most recent university transcript. This will only be used to assess eligibility to be selected in the program.
