Advisory Committee

The Advisory Committee plays a critical role in the Network, offering leadership, guidance, and expertise to support its growth and impact. Comprising representatives from municipal and regional health agencies, primary care networks, community organizations, academic and research institutions, policy experts, and industry partners, the Committee provides strategic recommendations on key Network activities, programs, and impact measures.

Members advise on outreach, engagement, and collaboration opportunities while shaping research priorities, policies, communications, and knowledge translation strategies. They contribute to identifying new initiatives, funding opportunities, and potential research projects and support the development of key performance indicators and measurement frameworks. Additionally, the Committee fosters partnerships with local, regional, and national partners to advance innovative, scalable solutions that promote health equity, reduce the burden of diabetes and related cardiometabolic conditions, and create healthier living environments in the Peel Region and beyond.
