Kian Godhwani

Kian Godhwani is a fourth year undergraduate student specializing in Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Toronto Scarborough. Through the NHP summer program, he worked at the Improving Cancer Care Equity Lab at Women’s College Hospital. His research focused on studying the application of 'Deliberative Dialogue,' a participatory research methodology, in developing health-promoting interventions through a scoping review. Kian also led the involvement of two patient partners as peer researchers on the review who contributed to various stages of the project. Additionally, he will support the development of a deliberative dialogue methodology aimed at integrating two public health interventions in Ontario. This initiative seeks to bridge gaps in diabetes risk and improve management through evidence-based smoking cessation programs and integrated preventive primary care.
