Rosa Fragomeni is in her fourth year of her undergraduate studies pursuing a major in environmental science and a double minor in anthropology and business, science and entrepreneurship at the University of Toronto Mississauga. Her research with the Urban Trails Canada-wide Research Team, with researchers from five provinces, explores using physical activity as a moderator of health to improve the design of active transportation on urban trails across Canada. Community engagement and the social determinants of health are key aspects of the research. Throughout her time with the NHP program, she has identified 14 survey station sties in Mississauga and has conducted fieldwork for those sites. The results from the survey will contribute to a future nation-wide meta-analysis.
